Through the dawn on to another day
there the land long forgotten still lays
one heart thumps pumping life to everything
all move freely fore the binding of the strings.

She came and she drilled the heart until it broke
billions of pieces left alone start to choke,
Out comes the thread back together all are sewn
each last stnng anchored to her throne.

She will be the puppet queen
you will be a stringed machine
you will keep her buckles clean
She will keep an oiled machine

It came from a place you'd think that darkness couldn't dwell
and it wore the face or angel pretty as nell.
She said she had been poisoned but with love she could be saved
and as their gates flung open their guest began to pave

She came and she tore the roots from their earth
filled the sky with darkness and to monsters she gave birth
these creatures mined the land
the heart lead to believe
burning ancient bridges to satisfy her needs.

The sun grew weak and with that the colours fade
saturated canvas sinking smothered shades of grey.
Hope runs deep and is not extinguished fast
and broken pieces sewn together grow stronger forming scars.
